We are happy to announce that Detroves Travels is one of the few travel agencies in Sri Lanka that has been certified as safe and secure to handle travel arrangements for incoming tourists. The Safe and Secure certification was initiated by The Tourism ministry and The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) to ensure that the tours are controlled and handled as per the health and safety protocols issued by the health ministry. As per the guidelines, only travel agencies with safe and secure certification could handle tour, hotel, and transport arrangements for incoming travelers. SLTDA with the assistance of KPMG conducted an audit to issue certification and travel agencies that managed to meet the criteria successfully was certified. Detroves Travels received the certification in January 2021 and has been handling many tours successfully ever since the borders opened in Sri Lanka.
