Meet Garwin, the Founder of Detroves Travels. Being in the industry for 20 years, he always has a vision to build the most innovative and service-oriented travel company for both Sri Lanka and Maldives. The favorite part of his job is that he can create holidays that fulfills the dreams and aspirations of the clients. He has his Master’s in Business Management. He considers his best achievement to be building Detroves Travels to become a recognized and sought-after company for Sri Lanka and Maldives. His hobbies include, public speaking and listening to music.
Meet Theekshana, the Senior Finance Executive who handles all the financial operations and prepares management reports. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Accounting. He has 5 years’ experience in and still he enjoys being able to get involved in the business and understand its strategy and how it operates, whilst being able to provide useful information and assist with the decision-making process of the business. In his spare time, he likes to travel and engage in hikes. He considers his best achievement to be his Bachelor’s Degree because he worked hard for it and was able to finish at the top of his. In turn he has learned to prioritize his time, build great habits and stay focused on his goals.
Meet Shaluki, who has been the Market Head of the Australian, New Zealand and UK divisions for 5 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management from the University of London and a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology. The favorite part of her job is that she gets to create different tours for different clients which also lets her learn new things every single day. In her spare time, she catches up on Game of Thrones (I mean, who doesn’t). She considers her best achievement to be her Bachelor’s Degree because all the hard work and effort has helped mold her into the person she is today.
Nuzanth also holds an IATA Diploma in Travel & Tourism. For 2 years he has being handling different clients from the Australian and Middle Eastern market, which is the favorite part of his job as a travel executive. His hobbies include listening to music and playing football, and he considers one of his best achievements to be when his football team from school won the whole football tournament when he was the captain.
Meet Karu, one of the veterans in the tourism industry with over 40 years of experience. He has a vast knowledge on many aspects of Sri Lanka including culture, wildlife, nature and history. Prior to being a full-time member of Detroves Travels, he has previously worked at many top travel companies in the country. In his spare time, he likes to read and catch up on the latest updates.
Ravi works as a National Tourist Guide Lecturer and he holds his Master’s in Geology. Ravi also lectures on Gemology and Geology. He enjoys his job as he likes to make people happy. In his spare time, he likes to read about natural sciences and about Sri Lanka. He considers his best achievement to be bringing foreign tourists to Sri Lanka while promoting the country.
