The Maldives officially opened for tourism today (15th July 2020). In conjunction, we would like to give you below the guidelines.

POST DEPARTURE FROM MALDIVES
For the purpose of COVID-19 surveillance and contact tracing and to enable identifying contacts of a positive case, it is important that the returning tourists inform the resort if they test positive for COVID -19 within 14 days of departure from the resort.
IN THE MALDIVES
Travelers with symptoms of COVID-19 will be subjected to a PCR test upon arrival. Close contacts of the suspected case during the flight and the journey will have to self-quarantine at the resort (depending on resort policy) or at a designated transit facility until the result of the PCR test for COVID 19 of the suspected case is available as requested by the HPA. It is required to complete the Exit Screening of tourist from resort prior to departure. Please refer ANNEX 5 in below link to see a sample of the form.

PRIOR TO TRAVEL TO MALDIVES
Tourists are not required to produce a certificate or test result indicative of negative status for COVID-19 prior to entry in to Maldives. Persons who have a history of contact with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 within the past 14 days and/or persons who have fever or respiratory symptoms such as cough, sore throat, shortness of breath within the past 14 days should not travel to Maldives. All passengers must fill Health Declaration Form within 24 hours prior their departure to Maldives.
Encourage all tourists to install the contact tracing app “TraceEkee”.
